(G) An ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society;

Level 5
The student:
  1. can identify potential positive or negative impacts of an emerging technology on individuals, organizations, and society as well as provide important historical examples of technology’s impact on individuals, organizations, and society.
  2. designs systems that appropriately address privacy issues.
Level 3
The student:
  1. can provide important historical examples of technology’s impact on individuals, organizations, and society but has difficulty identifying potential positive or negative impacts of an emerging technology.
  2. demonstrates an understanding of privacy issues but has some difficulty designing systems that appropriately address those issues.
Level 1
The student:
  1. cannot identify potential positive or negative impacts of an emerging technology on individuals, organizations, and society or provide significant historical examples of technology’s impact on individuals, organizations, and society.
  2. has difficulty identifying privacy issues associated with information technology and cannot design systems that appropriately address privacy issues.
