Building a Learning Community

Four Brown bag sessions this fall will give faculty/staff an opportunity to discuss various perspectives of international experiences at Radford University.

 

 

All of the sessions are at noon on Wednesday in the Virginia Room of Heth Hall.

 

September 10 Faculty Who Have Been Abroad

Two faculty members will discuss their experiences in educational programs, one in Europe and one in South America.

 

October 8 Students Who Have Been Abroad

Students who have participated in programs abroad will share their insights on the educational values of such an experience.

 

October 22 Faculty Who Are From Abroad

Faculty from another culture discuss the advantages and disadvantages such a background gives them in teaching RU students.

 

November 5 Students Who Are From Abroad

International students share their ideas on the difficulties of adjusting to a different educational system and the advantages that come from studying in a different culture.
