Old business:

During the February TAC meeting a proposal for funds dedicated to improving equipment was initiated. The statement requesting funds was revised as follows:

The members of the Technology Advisory Council hearby request that a deliberate effort be made to allocate annually funds which are specifically designated to provide academic departments with upgraded software and hardware on an annual basis according to an equitable developed plan to whose development departments can contribute.

ACTION:

The memo regarding this formal request was sent to Dr. Owens (copied to Kathy Green, Charles King, Paul Harris) on 4/7/95.

New Business:

Re-establishing a permanent standing committee for planning and policies regarding information technology resources on entire campus.

ACTION:

A memo requesting this need be addressed in the re-organization of Internal Governance was sent to Charlene Lutes and Sheila Reyna (copied to Charley Owens, Kathy Green, Paul Harris, Charles King) on 4/10/95.

Future of TAC was discussed. It was generally agreed that the group should continue with its mission to assist faculty in teaching with technology.
