Meeting, September 11, 1995

Members present: Marty Aylesworth, John Bryan, Judy Carlson-Catalano (for Kim Carter), Lorraine Durrill, Jay Guruswamy, Doris Hendrickson, Betsy Little, Coreen Mett, Mike Packer, Jim Ross, Jennifer Spoon, Lee Stewart, Craig Waggaman

The meeting began with introductions of members and new members.

News:

It was suggested that this ITRAC committee does not need to have Internal Governance status, but that we should recommend to Dr. Covington that a member of ITRAC serve on the Executive Council which does long range planning.

Faculty development programs

In response to the questions "Who's doing what? Who needs what?" the following suggestions were made:

Issues:

A request for more direct access to computer support led to a discussion of improvements at the Help Desk. It was emphasized the need for using the Help Desk as the centralized troubleshooting. The advantages of documentation of troubles as well as eventual efficiency were clarified. The use of ru.general as an information and problem solving tool was also discussed.
