



Technology Advisory Council
Projects to Date
Since its beginning in August 1993, this group of 15 carefully
selected staff and faculty has generously provided valuable advice
on technology developments associated with teaching and learning.
Together, the group has developed plans for:
- distribution of $150,000 in Equipment Trust Funds for teaching
- mobile multimedia carts placed in 5 classroom buildings
- an on-line reservation system to manage individual instructional
needs for these 5 carts
- MTS faculty to assist faculty in using this new technology
- high-end support technology located in public labs, Center
for Music Technology, and Teaching Resources Center
- a faculty grant program for $10,000 in Equipment Trust Funds
- training users of new technology
- policies for optimal use of the above equipment
- sharing information about campus resources
- suggestions for faculty development programs, through Our
Turn and other campus workshops
