I'm definitely feeling the wrath of jet lag. I've never been so tired in all my life! Tired but excited. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone on the trip and discovering Galway. I've been nervous about eating the food. Today, however, we walked across the street to a market and they had a deli with the most amazing bread I've ever had. This afternoon we went to the Cliffs of Moher and spent the evening traveling down the coast along the Burren.
This is the best picture I took of the Cliffs of Moher.
This picture (as most of mine) doesn't do the actual site any justice...It's so
beautiful. When I was reading about the Burren I learned that "in the
southen part of it limestone gives way to black shale and sandstone that form
the dramatic Cliffs of Moher (Ireland Eyewitness Travel Guide)."

We were awfully daring considering several days after we had
visited someone was blown off the cliffs.

This is a picture of the Burren. The pourous rock of the Burren is easily penetrated by rainwater, which has gouged out an extensive cave system below it (Ireland). Debbie (our magnificent tour guide from Discover Sligo) told me that she once went caving under the Burren. She described her caving experience as somewhat claustrophobic...an adventurous activity that she wouldn't want to engage in ever again.
