Using PPP

> At the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, click the "Start" icon, then point to "Programs", then "Accessories", then click "Dial-Up Networking."

> Now double-click "RU Network" icon that you setup in the previous steps.

> The computer will now dial and connect to the terminal server. After a connection has been made a terminal window will appear.

In the terminal window, enter your user ID and password at the prompts.

Some "garbage" characters should appear in the window. This is normal.

> Now click on "Continue" or press the F7 key.

You are now connected via PPP and can take advantage of software packages such as telnet, ftp, and Netscape.
