ITEC350 Grade Policy

v Please note the following which I states in the class syllabus.

Grades:

Two in-class tests Lab Project Homeworks Attendance and Class Participation	60% = 30% each * 2 tests 15% 15% 10%
Total	100%

I’ll give bonus quizzes. If you have 100% attendance rate and give a full attention in class, additional 5% of your earned score will be added on top of your total earned score at the end of the semester. I will not accept late assignments.

v Here is how to calculate your grade:

600 ≤ Total	A
530 ≤ Total <600	B
467 ≤ Total < 530	C
400 ≤ Total < 467	D
Total < 400	F

How to calculate your Total Points

Total = (Midterm Exam) * 2 + (Final Exam) * 2 + (Lab Project) + (Homework) + (Attendance and Class Participation) + (bonus quizzes)

If you attendance rate is 100%, Total = Total * 1.05

Homework: You can have 80 more points from the remaining homework.

Homework 1 – Subnetting (20 points)

Homework 2 – Socket Programming (60 points)

Homework 3 – Shortest Path Algorithm (20 points)

Attendance and Class Participation:

If you did not speak more than 5 times, I urge you to participate in the class more actively. (20 points)

If you are absent

between 0 and 3 times – 47 points

between 4 and 6 times – 40 points

between 7 and 9 times – 30 points

between 10 and 12 times – 20 points

between 13 and 15 times – 10 points

more than equal to 16 times – 0 points
