Why do we need support?

Hockey is growing faster in the U.S. than any other sport.  Unfortunately, it is also one of the most expensive. RUIH is a member of the the Blue Ridge Hockey Conference of the ACC Hockey League, which includes such teams as Appalachian State, Clemson, Old Dominion, UNC, University of Richmond, NC State, Wake Forest and others. Some of our other  past sponsors include, Play it Again Sports, Little Caesars, Roanoke Express and several others.  As any organization we our dependant upon outside financial support.  When we don't get assistance our team suffers, because our players are forced to pay higher dues, which a typical college student often can't afford to pay. 

Besides making a charitable donation to a credible hockey organization, we provide our sponsors with promotion.  Businesses that make a donation will have their logo added to RUIH banners, flyers, advertisements, programs, web site, and for larger donations logos will be added to jerseys.  Some have asked us to pass out literature to RU students.  We will do everything to give credit to your company.

We're always thankful for any donation alumni or individuals are willing to make.  We realize money is often tight so whatever you can give would be greatly appreciated.  Our list of contributing alumni can be found on the alumni page.
