using JLog
some hints

• Download the latest version from http://sourceforge.net/projects/jlogic/files/JLog/ (1.3.6 as of 2009.Nov), and download/expand.

  Note: Go to sourceforge (or a mirror), not to jlog.org — that's some other program for logging flight schedules or something.

• You don't actually run an .exe, instead you use a browser to open the file jlog.html from the installed directory. (It's a big javascript program.)
• You'll start on the "consult" pane, with a main text-entry window called "Source". You can type facts/rules into the knowledge-base here.
• Then, hit “consult” in the lower-right corner.
• Now, go to the “query” pane, type in your query, and click the button “query”.
  (Click “retry” to find any solutions to the query beyond the first.)

• If you change your database in the "consult" tab, be sure to copy/paste it frequently to a file. When the applet quits, you'll lose all the info in that text-box.

  Alternately, you might make all changes in an editor file, and use command-A, command-C, (switch to browser), command-A, command-V to copy/paste the file.
