In the year 1400, in a small Italian city, a man brought students together in a secret order for the purpose of mutual protection from the city's evil governor . . . In 1869, five college friends came together and formed a fraternity. A fraternity of friendship and values. A fraternity which would carry on a secret tradition of ages past, though lost for centuries. The brotherhood those five men formed one snowy December evening was Kappa Sigma. The Kappa Sigma fraternity is a brotherhood based on rich history, academic zeal and long-lasting friendships. We pride ourselves on building strong brothers: strong in character, strong in wisdom, and strong in life. The bonds we form and the experience we share enrich our lives. As a long-ago Kappa Sig once said, "Not a day, or an hour, or a college term only, but for Life." Kappa Sigma is for life. Many different faces and personalities have crossed through the front door of our house "at the top of the Quad", and found a welcome home there.
