The in-class part of the Final Exam is scheduled as follows:

10:15 a.m. in Floyd B01.
The best way to study for the in class part of the final is to do
the following
1. Study new material
Section 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.5, 8.7, 8.8, 8.10, 8.12, 8.13
Note the final will have a heavier emphasis on the
new material.
2. Study Test 1 and Test
2.
In particular, know how to encrypt and decrypt
messages using
shift cipher, affine ciphers, the Vigenere cipher, and how
to break a Vigenere cipher using signatures and scrawls.

Do Problems 1, 2, 3, and 4. To show the work
you
perform to complete each
exercise using a Maplet, in Microsoft Word, copy and paste your Maplet
window into your Microsoft Word page. This can be accomplished by
clicking on the Maplet Window to make it the front window, pressing and
holding the Ctrl Alt PrtScm keys in sequence
(this places the Maplet Window into the copy buffer), and then pasting
normally into Microsoft Word Document. For problem 1, also paste in the
values you create for p, q, m, f, e, and d from the
external file you save them to (rsaparam.doc by default).
Hand in your assignment by submitting it in the Desire2Learn drop box.
