As these folders take shape, they should have "about.html" pages that demonstrate work for the class: EXAMPLE.
Each coms226 folder should contain a bunch of assignment folders.
- Create a Web page in each folder to showcase work on that assignment...
- then put links in the "about" page so that a visitor can click to see each assignment.
- If you call a folder's showcase page "index.html", you only need to link to the folder name.
- To organize a bigger assignment, you may want more than one page in a folder.
Then you can use a folder index.html page to organize the other pages.
- Use short, clear, meaningful names for the pages.
- For example, the "restore" folder could have pages called cars1.html, cars2.html, faces.html and oldphotos.html
- Then the "restore" folder could have a link list something like this (in this case the links are simulated):
- When you are done with the course, you can rename the "coms226/about.html" page "index.html", turning it into a home page for your coms226 folder, hiding all of the assignment folders and in-progress files. Don't rename it yet, though, so that the instructor can watch the folders take shape.
