FACILITIES
Radford's Music Business students have access to some of the finest facilities and resources in the state of Virginia. With a fully loaded audio production studio, campus radio and TV station, state of the art video editing, computer labs, hi-tech auditoriums, and highly experiences faculty members, students can receive the best hands-on training that new graduates will need to become successful in this extremely dynamic and competitive field.








Powell Hall Audio Studio:
Music Department's 8-track Digital and Analog Studio, that includes MIDI sequencing applications, synthesizing modules, 16-channel Mixer, NEXT Workstation, CD press and just about everything you need to produce a professional quality recording.

Preston Auditorium:
Radford's largest auditorium has a 1500 seat capacity, 60 channel mixer, and a professional light and sound system.

Powell Computer Lab:
One of the numerous computer labs on campus in located in Powell hall. Connected to the Radford Network and the Internet, these MIDI keyboard workstations are equipped with music producing applications such as ear training, theory, music notation, and sequencing programs.

RU's Radio Station (WVRU):
Radford's campus Radio Station is located in Porterfield Hall. The station is powered from the roof of Muse Hall with a 500-watt HI-FI stereo transformer on a frequency of 89.9 on the FM band. The station hosts celebrity guests, transmits remote broadcasts, promotes local events, and addresses many other music business related topics, while providing numerous opportunities for student involvement.
