STUDENTS
ORGANIZATIONS The
Arts & Entertainent Business Association (AEBA) and Highlander
Records are two diverse ways for students to get involved with
their industry.
Highlander
Records
Highlander
Records is an independent record label located in southwest
Virginia on the campus of Radford University. The label is a
non-profit entity organized under the Radford University Foundation
and is administered by the Music Business program within the
Music Department.
Highlander Records was conceived as an experiential learning
opportunity and involves students in all aspects of operation.
Highlander Records produces recorded products from performances
by RU faculty, students, alumni, and community and professional
artists. This product is marketed and distributed nationally
via direct mail, live sale at concerts and other events, local
and regional retail outlets, and via e-commerce.
Arts & Entertainment Business
Association
Arts and Entertainment Business Association (AEBA) is targeted
primarily at Music Business majors, though students of any major
are eligible to participate. We focus on educating students
on the inner-workings of the music industry through open speaker
symposiums, discussions, and an annual Music Industry Showcase.
